HIGH POINT – The Sustainable Furnishings Council is hosting a webinar at noon, Thursday, Nov. 19, that offers the group’s annual review of the state of sustainability in home furnishings.

The free event is sponsored by industry leaders including Currey & Co., Milliken, Michell Gold + Bob Williams, Naturepedic, Saatva, Room & Board and Varaluz. It is open to all industry professionals including manufacturers, retailers and interior designers.

The meeting agenda will feature a discussion of the SFC’s current priorities and concerns as well as opportunities to review programming gaps and promote networking among members.

The event also will share results from a recent SFC survey in which members ranked six areas of focus for their operations including circularity, carbon reduction, health and well being, social equity, waste reduction and water stewardship.

“All hands on deck are needed to effectively address our planet’s pressing climate crisis,” said Susan Inglis, SFC executive director. “We value input from all quarters and would like to invite those with curiosity, interest or ideas to consider SFC membership as well.”

To register or for more information, contact Inglis at susan@sustainablefurnishings.org.
