ATLANTA – Serta Simmons Bedding has added three senior executives to its leadership team.

Greg Schweir

Gregg Schweir has joined SSB as senior vice president, head of innovation. In this role, he leads a team of product and manufacturing executives charged with the development of innovative and consumer-driven sleep system products and services.  He and his team work closely with the marketing, sales, and supply chain organizations to optimize concepts to market delivery solutions, officials said.

Dan Hennessy

Dan Hennessy has joined SSB as senior vice president and general manager of Beautyrest. As the leader of the Beautyrest brand, he oversees brand strategy, positioning, advertising, consumer engagement, product development, and overall business results.

Kent Jones

Kent Jones

Kent Jones has joined SSB as chief procurement officer. In that role, he leads both the direct materials and indirect materials and services sourcing teams for the company.

Schweir joined SSB from La-Z-Boy, where he was responsible for leading the research, development and innovation team.

Prior to La-Z-Boy, he was with Weber-Stephens Products LLC, as executive vice president, global product development, responsible for R&D, innovation, product engineering, and project management. At Masco Cabinetry, he was vice president of product development and engineering, also charged with creating and implementing an innovation strategy. Prior to that, he worked in various roles of increasing responsibility at Whirlpool Corp. focused on product development and supply chain operations.

Hennessy has 25 years of marketing and sales experience, primarily in consumer packaged goods. He joined SSB from MolsonCoors Beverage, where he held numerous executive marketing and sales roles, most recently as the chief commercial officer for the international division. Hennessy began his marketing career at S.C Johnson and Procter & Gamble.

Jones has spent more than 20 years in procurement-related roles with various organizations. Prior to joining SSB, he served as chief procurement officer for Wabtec Corp., a provider of value-added, technology-based products and services for freight rail, passenger transit and select industrial markets worldwide. Jones also served as vice president of sourcing at Rubbermaid and was head of global procurement at Mettler-Toledo.
