AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Gardner-White, a leading furniture and mattress store in Michigan, is celebrating the grand opening of its new Rochester Hills store on Oct. 17 and 24.

The new 48,000-square-foot store is located at 1032 S. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills.

“This is an exciting time to be in Rochester Hills,” said Rachel Stewart, president of Gardner-White. “We’ll celebrate a great fall season, complete with music, clowns, radio station DJs, games, balloon twisters and cider/donuts from Yates Cider Mill.”

Festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. both Saturdays, and the official ribbon cutting will be on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m., with dignitaries including Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett, Rochester Regional Chamber Vice President Maggie Bobitz and Gardner-White store managers.

The store includes the all-new Gardner-White Design Studio and Clearance Center, with brands such as Rowe, Century, Southern Motion, Flexsteel and more.  Bedding options include Tempur-Pedic, Beautyrest, Serta, Aireloom, Stearns & Foster and Sealy.

“Gardner-White prides itself on caring for families in our community. We will honor Neighborhood House of Rochester with a $2,500 donation and a holiday food drive during the celebration,” said Stewart. “Canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected to support those in our community experiencing food shortage through Nov. 13.”

In July, Gardner-White announced it would be the lead sponsor of America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Detroit.
