GREENWICH, Conn. – Fayette Studio, a designer and curator of bespoke rugs, is launching a new collection called Inspired and designed by owner Kyra Schulhof.
“Since opening Fayette Studio, I’ve found that my creative joy comes from the process of seeing a never-before-made rug come to fruition from a simple form of inspiration that was sparked during daily life,” Schulhof said. “Over the years of helping designers realize their vision, I have been inspired to create my own designs in hopes they’ll find homes in the exquisite projects our clients design.”
The new collection includes 34 designs, with each available in two to four colorways, bringing the collection to more than 125 SKUs. The offering is organized in nine design themes ranging in patterns from sophisticated lines to layered abstracts: Sketch, Painterly, Linear, Organic, Border, Wave, Colorblock, Water Marble and Round.
Along with the new collection launch, the studio is now offering a custom rug designer tool that allows potential customers to edit colors, composition ratios of silk and wool, and details such as loop or cut pile.
Schulhof said that while the new collection showcases more 125 pattern and colorway combinations, the possibilities that the rug designer adds are endless.
“This year’s quarantine slow-down, coupled with our growing customer base, made me realize the importance of a program that allows designers and clients to create and design from home,” she said. “The Fayette Studio Rug Designer allows our clients to experience the customization process and expedite the creative process by providing immediate visual feedback and downloadable tear sheets.”
All rugs are available in a variety of price points and construction methods, from hand-knotted rugs in Nepal to custom machine-made rugs in the U.S. The Fayette Studio showroom is open by appointment, and the team is available for remote consultations.
