“By expanding this retail channel, we are giving our customers more points of access, and we will be better positioned to serve them in the future,” said Jeff Brown, Big Fig president. “Our goal is to provide this underserved community with better sleep.”
Big Fig’s mattress’s hybrid design combines 1,600 coil springs, 50% more than the average premium innerspring mattress, and 3 inches of high-density foam cushioning, which is 50% denser than the foam in a standard innerspring mattress, according to the company.
The company’s mattress topper is made with ThermoGel cooling technology, which cools the sleeper’s body temperature as they rest, Brown said. The technology activates with moisture contact to create a cooling sensation close to the skin for a better night’s sleep.
To date, the company has sold more than 20,000 mattresses and expects to exceed its forecasts in the fourth quarter.
“Walmart occupies one of the top spots in the hierarchy of online retail, as one of the largest online retailers for home décor and furnishings, making it the right next step for Big Fig, as we continue our expansion through 2021 and beyond,” said Brown.
The Big Fig mattress is available in sizes twin through California king, with prices ranging between $1,299 and $1,999.
