PANAMA CITY, Fla. — When Hurricane Michael blew through the Florida Panhandle in October 2018, Sonja Rhinehardt’s two Badcock Home Furniture & more stores in Panama City were so damaged that one had to be torn down.

The Lynn Haven store reopened just before the pandemic this year, but today two years after Michael, Rhinehardt and her employees are celebrating the grand re-opening of the Callaway store.

“For Callaway, we rebuilt in the same location but the whole building is brand new because we were only able to save the slab,” said Rhinehardt. “I opened the Callaway store brand new in 2001, and I have served those customers on that side of town for almost 20 years now. … I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my customers.”

W.S. Badcock Corporation, headquartered in Mulberry, Fla., has 380 corporate and associate dealer stores in eight southeastern states. Its branded Badcock Home Furniture & more stores and e-commerce website carry furniture, appliances, bedding, electronics, home office, accessories and seasonal items.
